Main Accountabilities

Oversee all aspect of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure. Maintain high availability and performance while ensuring that all work performed with the site is done to high quality without impact to internal/ external customers and maintain service level agreements
Manage team of 24/7 engineering team in all facets o their career. Prioritize and assign tasks to data centre technicians and operators, manage projects, coach and create documentations. Guide, train and educate staff on best practices related to all service owner issues
Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.
Coordinates daily task with a multitude of third-party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Respond to-out of hours emergency calls
Act as an escalation point of all facilities-related issues/ failures. Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency service on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS system, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring system etc
Manage emergency situation and lead emergency response team
Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment and processes
Role may support more than one location / site
Lead and manage budgeting and procurement for Data Canter’s relates good & services

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
3+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting / problem solving extensive knowledge in UPS, Generators, HVAC and other critical
Strong verbal and written communication skills, technical writing or business justification (white paper experience)
