1. Perform operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of all mechanical and HVAC systems in the Data Center, including CRAC / CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers & pumps, precision cooling systems, air conditioning units, ventilation & exhaust systems, humidity control and air filtration systems.
2. Conduct daily rounds, temperature/humidity monitoring and record all parameters to ensure environmental stability.
3. Assist in troubleshooting for any HVAC failures, temperature excursions or mechanical breakdowns.
4. Carry out filter replacement, coil cleaning, condensate drain checks, belt replacement and other routine servicing.
5. Monitor and maintain cooling water systems, including water treatment, chemical dosing, and pump performance (for chiller plants).
6. Execute safe work practices: Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, toolbox briefing, risk assessment and EHS compliance.
7. Respond to alarms, faults and environmental warnings promptly to avoid thermal risk or downtime to IT operations.
8. Assist Facility Engineer in capacity planning, load balancing, airflow optimization (hot/cold aisle) and cooling efficiency improvement.
9. Maintain complete and accurate maintenance checklists, work orders, logbooks and service reports.
10. Coordinate with OEM vendors and contractors for scheduled maintenance, corrective work and annual servicing.
11. Support 24/7 on-call standby rotation to attend critical issues outside normal working hours.
1. Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/HVAC/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering or Technology or related field from reputable institution (University, College, Institute).
2. Preferably 2–5 years working experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, industrial building, semiconductor or Data Center environment (fresh graduates with strong technical ability will be considered).
3. Strong technical knowledge in CRAC/CRAH operations, precision cooling systems, chiller plant systems, cooling towers, pumps, AHU/FCU systems, refrigeration cycle and air conditionings.
4. Ability to read/interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID, ducting layouts and system schematics.
5. Familiar with Data Center cooling requirements, hot–cold aisle containment and airflow management.
6. Knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting, refrigerant handling, leak detection tools and mechanical PM tasks.
7. Understanding of safety practices: PTW, LOTO, chemical handling, working at height, confined space and basic OSHA requirements.
8. Physically fit to perform inspections, equipment servicing and routine hands-on maintenance.
9. Willing to work shift, weekends and join 24/7 standby.
10. Good teamwork, communication skills responsibility and discipline.
11. Computer literate for updating checklists, reports and maintenance documentation.
