Purpose Of The Roles
As a Presales Consultant in the Data Center, this role necessitates a comprehensive
understanding of data center technologies, along with exceptional communication and
analytical abilities to effectively engage with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborating closely with the sales team, the Presales Consultant assesses customer
requirements, tailor solutions accordingly, and delivers compelling presentations and
proposals. Ultimately, presales consultant works with potential clients or customers to
ensure they have a strong understanding of the services and/or products provided. It
plays a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities, devising winning
strategies, and nurturing strong client relationships.
Main Accountabilities
- Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs, challenges, and objectives related to data center colocation and connectivity solution.
- Solution Design: Utilize technical expertise to design customized data center colocation solutions that address client requirements effectively and efficiently.
- Presales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, proposals, and participate in presales activities and tendering preparation.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of data center technologies, including mechanical and electrical system design and market trends.
- Industry Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to provide informed recommendations and insights to clients.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of solution designs, proposals, and other relevant materials.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in presales or technical consulting roles within the data center or IT infrastructure.
- Be familiar with Data Centre colocation and connectivity Architecture, Engineering, and Solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving ability: to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into tailored solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Influencing and negotiation skills.
- Aptitude for time management and organization.
