Main Accountabilities

The main duty of the technician is to install and repair fiber optic cables.
Resolve, repair, and install fiber optics systems, ensuring that they work properly.
Examine and replace faulty and/or old fiber optic cables.
Organize scheduled maintenance routines.
Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas.
Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections so that a faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance.
Work closely with project teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field in Telecommunication.
Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) and Certified Fiber Optics Specialist (CFOS) would be an advantage for this position.
Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or in a related role.
Familiarity with fiber optic testing equipment and tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsible.
Good attitude.
Problem-solving.
